Exeter Municipal CharityThe Exeter Municipal Charity exists to provide charitable housing to people living in the area of benefit, in other words within 10 miles of Exeter Guildhall.

People who live in the charity homes are known as beneficiaries.

They must be over 55, be able to demonstrate a connection to Exeter and be capable of independent living.

How are we funded?

Part of the cost of administration is paid for by investment income, but the residents also have to pay a monthly contribution towards the total cost of maintaining the homes and the upkeep of the grounds, which is reviewed annually by the Trustees.

The charity is governed by the Charities Act.

Beneficiaryships are governed by the Charities Act.
